A Celtic nation, a country of “Saints and Scholars”? Good-natured, hospitable people with a quirky sense of humour, despite the crappy weather - but let's not go into that right now. A nation of truly resilient people who have been able to deal with adversity throughout centuries and come out the other end for the better. Maybe it's in our blood or in our genes - a mongrel mix of European and Anglo-Saxon races - or maybe we're all just a bunch of bastards. Joking of course.
